Bizarre is a one-day design conference set to celebrate the spirit of subculture in communication design. I wanted to celebrate and promote work that goes against conventional design. I have designed and utilized a consistent visual language throughout my transmedia strategy, developed in the three touchpoints: poster, brochure, and experience (zine and wayfinding).
The aesthetic design takes its cue from subculture fandom expressions, particularly zines, comics, and graffiti. I’ve created fun, wild, dynamic, and exciting atmospheres that reflect an out-of-this-world experience to appeal to my target audience, those alternative and alienated from the dominant culture.
